Draper is searching for a highly motivated individual with experience in imaging system development and test. The successful applicant will join our optical systems group. Responsibilities will range from instrument and sensor testing, to system design, build and test – including concept definition, optical & opto-mechanical design, electronics concept design, interface programming, and comprehensive testing.


M.Sc., or equivalent degree, in optical sciences, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or aerospace engineering. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience in MATLAB, C++, C#, and Zemax is very desirable. The applicant's background should include instances of developing optical and/or electronic instruments. The applicant must be accustomed to hands-on laboratory work, and be able to independently create required hardware and software, run test protocols and document results. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must be willing to travel. The applicant must be highly motivated with a willingness to learn and participate in an exciting team environment. Must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance
