Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Defense Systems program office staff. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and manipulating internal data to derive meaningful metrics
  • Creating and tracking reports, presentations, memos and other documents, including proofreading all documents for clarity, grammatical usage, punctuation, and formatting
  • Special project and programmatic assignments including data entry efforts
  • arranging and coordinating travel and processing associated expense reports
  • Coordinating simple and complex internal and off-site meetings
  • Ordering food for meetings and events,
  • Coordinating classified meeting set up, badges and clearances
  • Placing and tracking purchase requisitions
  • Maintaining records/logs, filing systems, and office supplies
  • Coordinating time sheet completion for staff and contractors
  • Maintaining appointment calendars
  • Preparing outgoing and sorting incoming mail including classified documents adhering to established procedures
  • Answering and screening telephone calls, taking clear and concise messages, and responding to callers in clear and meaningful manner

The selected applicant will be expected to work a consistent 8 hour day; Monday through Friday during standard business hours.

 

 

Qualifications

Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software; specifically: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.  Experience with PeopleSoft, SharePoint and FilemakerPro or similar software a plus.  Excellent organizational and communication skills required.  Candidate must be team player and an independent thinker.

 

Requires high school diploma and up to 5 years of directly related experience or completion of two years of college.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
