We are looking for a highly-skilled embedded Software/Systems Engineer to support current and future Cybersecurity, multi-level security, and anti-tamper programs. The candidate will support Draper's efforts in the development of real-time, highly reliable embedded system software for critical national infrastructure and systems of critical importance to national defense.
Activities will include:
Design, implementation, test, and integration of embedded software systems, with emphasis on creating secure systems through the application of Draper and non-Draper technology protection, multi-level security and resiliency technologies. The candidate take a technical leadership role in performing risk management and vulnerability assessment and implementing strategies to increase the security of mission critical embedded software systems. He/she will be working closely with software, hardware, and system engineers as part of an integrated team. Activities will also include support for the entire product life cycle from conceptualization and requirements analysis through final verification and validation. The candidate will be required to create technology or product development plans and represent the team at concept, design, and status reviews with customers.
M.S. or B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Candidates should have a technical background in one or more of the following areas: Cryptography, cyber-attack/vulnerability analysis, computer network operations, networking protocols, secure programming, and secure systems certification. Ability to lead teams and knowledge of full product lifecycle development is required.
Familiarity with theoretical computer science, discrete math topics (e.g. operating systems theory, compilers, graph theory), IPv6, Java, C/C++, disassemblers, assembly language, and computer architectures is strongly desired. Sound development and integration skills are required as are excellent problem solving, debugging, communication and presentation skills. Ability to obtain a secret clearance is required.
This position will require the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. Main requirement for a security clearance is US Citizenship.
