I & T engineer for Fault tolerant computing systems
We are looking for a highly qualified engineer for integration and test of embedded computing systems. The candidate will support Draper's efforts in the integration and test of real-time, mission critical embedded system hardware and software for space systems. Activities will include integration and testing of hardware/software interfaces, device drivers, etc. for implementation of a fault tolerant system. The candidate will work as part of a team for integration and test of the fault tolerant hardware. He/she will be working closely with senior hardware and software engineers as part of the integration team. Prior experience with fault tolerant computing and/or spacecraft or safety critical avionics is a plus.
M.S. or B.S. in Engineering or equivalent and 10 years experience in integration and test of reliable high assurance systems is required. Recent experience in test software architecture design, implementation, and verification is required. Proficiency with python is required. Knowledge of compilers, make files and linker scripts is required as is experience with in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes. Skills in fault-tolerance via redundancy management, and NASA and FAA design assurance standards are desired. Knowledge of VxWorks, C/C++, Labview, and standard communication protocols (such as MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, and Ethernet) are desired. Sound integration skills are required, as are excellent problem solving, debugging, and communication skills.
The candidate should be willing to support occasional travel to vendor and customer sites.
