Job Opening

The Program Manager will be responsible for conceiving, creating, capturing and executing highly innovative Secure Systems and Technology Protection programs for Defense related business.  This position requires the rare combination of outstanding technical talent (both broad and deep) along with exceptional interpersonal and organizational insight in order to spot emerging customer challenges; relate Draper capabilities to address these challenges; and develop, capture and run relevant programs.

The Program Manager must be an impetus for new technical and business development in the Secure Systems and Technology Protection area, with the ability to bring energy, create focus, build enthusiasm and engender cooperation on multi-disciplinary, technically challenging developments.  The Program Manager also serves as the principal customer interface for the programs and proposals she/he will manage, and frequent travel is required.

The Program Manager will: develop personal credibility with sponsor organizations and establish corporate thought leadership relationships with these organizations; lead high-caliber engineering teams to develop game changing concepts; use her/his technical background to identify and qualify potential technical breakthroughs that can lead to operational performance breakthroughs; lead proposal efforts, including the development of work statements, schedules, budgets, and evaluation of proposal inputs from the engineering staff; and manage programs to meet technical, cost and schedule objectives.



Job Opening


The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer or Computer Science/Engineering with an exceptional technical background who is ready to transition to fully-engaged leadership and management of high-technology programs and unique concept developments. 

The candidate should have a BS and preferably an MS / Ph.D. or equivalent degree(s) and five or more years of experience in both direct "hands-on" lab work in advanced technologies and effective leadership in both formal and informal roles. 

Technical expertise is vital in one or more of the following disciplines System Security Engineering, Secure Operating Systems, Real-time embedded security systems, or Applied Cryptography.  The candidate must have excellent presentation and communication skills, have experience working with the DoD Secure Systems community, and have a active security clearance.  Demonstrated skills in innovation and collaboration are a must, and the capacity to influence & inspire others is essential.



Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
