The candidate will support Draper's efforts in the development of real-time feedback control systems for autonomous and semi-autonomous undersea, terrestrial, space and air vehicles. Activities encompass the entire development lifecyle, including requirements development, analysis model development, control system analysis and synthesis, simulation development and software implementation.  The individual will be expected to maintain state-of-the-art technical expertise control system analysis and design and be proficient in the Mathworks tookset. This position shall include interfacing with other technical and program areas within and outside the Laboratory.



M.S. or PhD in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent, 7+ years experience in control system development.    Working knowledge of hydrodynamics, aerodynamics and the C/C++ programming language.  Knowledge and experience in the design, coding and testing of guidance, navigation and control system software or fault detection, isolation and reconfiguration management software is preferred. Excellent communication and writing skills are necessary. Experience with GNU tools and Matlab/Simulink autocoding is required.
