Responsibilities

The successful candidate will contribute to manual wirebonding, micro-soldering, attachment, and other small-scale assembly tasks as well at optical, mechanical, acoustic, and X-ray metrology. Knowledge of standard cleaning, sample preparation, and clean room procedures is desired, as well as a willingness and ability to learn and develop new processes. The millimeter/micron-scale nature of the work requires significant microscope usage, both for assembly and metrology.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering or equivalent technical training and work experience in the field. Experience with microassembly techniques, preferably in a clean room environment. willingness to train under senior Engineering Assistant staff.
  • General familiarity with IT resources and software for data and image capture.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a group environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position will require the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. The primary requirement for a security clearance is US citizenship.
