Responsibilities

This position will be located in Draper Cambridge, MA office.  The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and designing guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) algorithms and flight software.    Analysis will include assessment of control, navigation, and guidance system performance, verification of algorithms and algorithm requirements, and analysis of flight dynamics and trajectory dispersions.  The candidate will use time domain simulations, covariance-based methods, and Monte Carlo dispersed analysis to assess and tune system performance and to document analysis results. 

Qualifications

  • Strong background in dynamics and linear analysis of aircraft, spacecraft, and missile closed loop performance (inner and outer loop). 
  • Familiarity with the following languages and tools: MATLAB and Simulink. 
  • Knowledge of GN&C algorithm techniques and simulation modeling techniques for atmospheric and/or space vehicles.
  • PhD in Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.   
  • Eligibility for and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
