    The Missile and Guided Systems GNC group at Draper is seeking a system analyst with broad technical skills to work within multi-disciplinary teams to evaluate and analyze weapon system and system-of-system solutions for the war fighter, including (but not limited to) advanced missile systems, interceptor systems, and enabling guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) technology.


    A successful candidate will be one that is highly motivated to support the delivery of technology solutions that are of strategic importance to the nation.  Tasking may include: modeling and simulation of missile/interceptor system performance, requirements analysis and flow-down, system concept/architecture trade studies and analysis of alternatives, system design, verification/test planning, development of systems engineering documentation, documentation of analysis results, and presentation of results to both internal and external stake-holders.


    The opportunity to work as part of team developing a state-of-the-art GN&C system will provide exposure to a wide range of advanced technologies, including inertial sensors, precision electronics, and advanced algorithms and will enable growth opportunities for a motivated individual.




    Applicants must have the following key qualifications:

    • An B.S. degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline;
    • Demonstrated foundational knowledge in core technologies (control theory/GNC, aerodynamics, actuation systems, electronics, embedded software) as well as practical systems engineering skills required to integrate these core technical disciplines;
    • Experience in system modeling and dynamic simulation development;
    • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex technical ideas.


    Any of the following additional qualifications are highly desirable:

    • Subject matter expertise depth in the area of missile guidance and/or navigation;
    • Domain knowledge for missile defense;
    • Experience with SysML or other system modeling languages;
    • Experience with model-based engineering techniques and approaches.
