The Information & Cognition Division is seeking a Group Leader for the Full Stack Development Group. The Full Stack Development group is a team of software developers that focus on delivering secure and efficient end-to-end software for highly usable machine intelligence systems. The team contains a mix of skill sets, including web, mobile, and thick client application developers. The group follows Agile methods and applies continuous improvement to both their architectures, products and their processes. This group collaborates closely with the other groups in the division, including User Experience, Human Analytics, Machine Intelligence, Cloud Architectures, and Data Access Systems.
The Group Leader position is a multifaceted role, in which the candidate will be responsible for managing and developing staff, enabling development of novel and reusable software capabilities and libraries, and performing as an individual contributor or leader on project teams. The Group Leader will be expected to manage, grow, and maintain a talented staff of engineers, building a strategic mix of skillsets and disciplines. The Group Leader will also be responsible for promoting the culture of innovation within the group, growing the culture of collaboration outside of the group, nurturing new ideas, and supporting engineers in proposal writing and other business development activities. Lastly, the Group Leader will also be an engineer and will execute on programs in appropriate roles. Specific technology areas of interest include architectures that enforce usability, machine learning algorithms in the real world, real time data processing, and dynamic data visualization.
