    Responsibilities

    Partners with designated departments to align and leverage human capital with business goals and strategies. Serves as a HR consultant to be both an employee champion and a change agent. Formulate and leverage partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added services to management and employees. Provides day to day human resources support and counsel to department management covering all functions of the HR organization. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures. Leads projects in HR related strategic initiatives, such as Diversity and Inclusion, Performance Management, and Talent Management.

     

    • Consults with line management providing HR guidance regarding policy interpretation or guidance related to any HR areas including recruiting, compensation, performance management, benefits, training, employee and labor relations, employee communications, and employment documentation.
    • Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management and employees to include coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. Identifies training needs for departments and individual executive coaching needs. Where appropriate designs, develops, and delivers training programs.
    • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues by utilizing effective, thorough, objective investigation skills. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, regarding legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal department as needed/required.
    • Responsible for full life-cycle recruiting including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and making offers.
    • Partner with assigned department management to provide guidance and input on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
    • Provides compensation assistance as required to assist line management in the job description and evaluation process in partnership with the Compensation Department.
    • Perform special projects leading HR efforts in such areas as Affirmative Action, Diversity and Inclusion, Employment Branding and Advertisement, HR Metrics and HR Operations Process Design. These are rotational project assignment.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources Management as a Generalist
    • Experience managing the full life cycle recruiting process.
    • Understanding of talent management and training and development best practices.
    • Prior experience dealing with employment regulations and compliance, preferably for a government contractor.
