Oversight and management of engineering laboratory and cleanroom facilities. The candidate will be responsible for: 1) Daily operational readiness of laboratory and cleanroom areas, 2) coordination of facility maintenance personnel and scheduling with program/project needs, 3) long term planning of equipment and facility maintenance schedules, 4) maintaining personnel access and training records, 5) coordination with security office to ensure personnel/facility compliance with security procedures/protocols, 6) coordination with safety office to ensure personnel/facility compliance with safety procedures/protocols.
Engineering facilities impact assessments due to ongoing building and lab renovations and construction projects, and escalation of any issues to engineering and program management. Management of engineering lab refurbishment efforts and room layout changes.
Support management planning of capital improvement projects for engineering facilities.
Degree in Operations Management, or a related discipline is required. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of working at a rapid pace with minimal supervision. Experience with operations, facility and logistics management in a DoD and/or government contractor setting is highly desirable. The candidate must have excellent written and oral presentation skills for communicating facility status to peers and management. High proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Project and MS Excel) is also required. Familiarity with electrical/mechanical and HVAC infrastructures.
