Draper, a technology and system development company, is seeking a Business Development leader for Draper outreach to the US Army, Special Forces, and other components in the Army’s C4ISR community. Business Development leaders are accountable for the active development, pursuit and capture of opportunities that provide our sponsors with relevant innovative technical solutions.
Critical technical areas include: secure and assured electronic systems, intelligence systems, communications, networking, and Position, Navigation and Timing systems. A broad understanding of the application of these technical areas to Army and Special Forces operations is critical.
The Business Development leader is an integral part of the Combat Solutions team, under the oversight of the Director, and supports all phases of program development including establishment and management of customer relationships, leading activities from exploration through capture including guiding technical concept/solution development of innovative technology, leading proposal teams, securing contracts, and providing customer representation during program execution.
The Business Development leader will:

15 years Army or Special Operational Forces military operations, systems development, operations or acquisition experience. MS degree highly preferred, however, extensive career experience is an important factor.
Mission Relevance: Successful candidates will have experience in Army operations relating to C4ISR.
Business Relevance: Successful candidates will be able to influence and shape technology development opportunities with the US Army, Special Operations Command, and related stakeholders.
Technical Relevance: Position requires knowledge of current and evolving technology in secure and assured electronic systems, intelligence systems, communications, networking, and Position, Navigation and Timing systems.
