The Senior Treasury Analyst will play a lead role in analyzing and managing Draper's liquidity, investment and capital structure positions. She/he is responsible for the maintenance of Treasury operations including cash forecasting/management, investment monitoring, external Treasury relationships, financial pension administration, insurance risk management and Treasury controls/compliance. Successful candidate will have strong experience in daily cash management, will have developed models for cash forecasting, moderate understanding of corporate investing, experience working with financial institutions and knowledge of Treasury policy and procedures, including risk management.
Cash management / short-term investing: Create and maintain an integrated pro-forma income statement, balance sheet and cash flow model for Draper to aid in improved predictability of cash flow requirements. Lead cross-divisional team (Treasury, FP&A, Disbursements, General Ledger, Billing) assigned to identify trends in working capital, essential for cash projection modeling. Maintain working capital lines of credit including all compliance reporting. Maintain and foster external banking relationships. Research and set-up interest-generating cash accounts and short-term investment positions.
Project management: Treasury is continuingly tasked with projects relating to corporate investing, retirement plans, cash management and risk management. These project are critical part of the job, working closely with the Treasury Manager across all business areas (especially Finance & Administration) and with external partners, executing at a high-level for senior management and Board of Directors. Candidate will be expected to develop material and present proposals to c-suite executives. Coordinating internal and external resources for the execution of projects. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Excellent Excel skills and hands-on experience with analysis and modeling. Understanding of fundamental economic concepts and financial securities related to Treasury and institutional investing. Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritize and multitask under a deadline-driven culture. Must be able to quickly develop an understanding of the organization’s operational characteristics, business drivers and culture. Excellent communication skills required.
Minimum required experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and 4-7 years experience in finance-related work, at least 3 years with direct Treasury experience.
Additional preferred experience, education, etc.:
MBA, or equivalent, preferred, as job requires the ability to develop and present complex financial data and scenarios to senior management, with additional responsibilities for reporting requirements to Draper's Board of Directors/Finance Committee.
