The Draper Space Systems Program Office is seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for developing and managing Draper Space Systems programs. The Program Manager will support the Draper Space Systems Director and Business Area Leads to develop and execute a strategy for growth building on existing and new sponsors and leveraging the deep technical expertise of the entire Draper organization. The candidate will have demonstrated leadership in program management and possess aerospace program and technology experience. Imediate responsibility will be as the Deputy Program Manager for the Dreamchaser development program. Responsabilities will progress to include program capture, development, planning and execution. Candidate will be responsible for developing new programs with Draper space programs customers including NASA and commercial industry to partner in the development of new space systems and technologies. Demonstrated management capability is essential and experience with the overall program life-cycle from proposal through execution is a plus.
Degree in a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems is required. Additionally, the candidate will have a technically versatile background with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and/or new applications. The candidate will possess an intimate knowledge, and track record of successful business interaction. The candidate must be persuasive, a strong relationship builder with excellent communications, presentation and networking skills. Must have the ability and interest to understand and embrace Draper’s mission as a not-for-profit R&D organization.
