    The Senior Benefits Analyst is a key member of the HR Benefits Team. This team owns the administration of Draper's employee benefits, responds to employee inquiries and assists in special projects throughout the year. The Senior Benefits Analyst will have a strong knowledge of retirement benefits, health & welfare plans, COBRA, flex spending accounts, leave of absence requirements and tuition reimbursement.

    The HR Benefits Team acts as the "face" of employee benefits, so this role requires excellent communication  skills.  The individual in this role will assist with drop-ins, calls and emailed questions from employees, update the HR portal content and lead information sessions at orientation and benefits fairs/events during the year.


    The Senior Benefits Analyst will coordinate with a variety of internal partners to process new hire enrollment, terminations, leaves of absence, and provide bi-weekly payroll support. The individual will maintain close relationships with vendors to ensure the outsourced administration is compliant and runs smoothly. Day to day internal program administration includes tuition reimbursement, leave of absence processing and payroll template and query resolution.   In addition, this individual will perform project-based and ad hoc analysis of benefits costs, participation, utilization, trends, etc. He or she will monitor the effectiveness of existing programs and recommend design or process improvements as needed, with the direction of the Associate Director of Total Rewards.

      This individual must be able to track multiple work streams, respond quickly and accurately to requests in a friendly manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.  



    • Experience with benefits area in a similar work environment handling a broad range of tasks in support of benefits administration.
    • Must have prior experience with 401K or 403B and defined benefit plans, along with a solid understanding of ERISA and retirement plan administration.
    • Well organized with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects Strong systems and analytical skills are required.
    • Superior communication skills with all levels of the organization including management and Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good problem-solving abilities.
    • BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance or Human Resources
    • At least 7 years of benefits administration
    • Previous experience working with Payroll/HRIS Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with PeopleSoft and ADP is preferred
    • CEBS certification desirable
