    The engineer will support the design, modeling, and test associated with devices that must consider multi-physics effects.  A key focus area will be on radiation effects in semiconductor electronics, and experience in modeling semiconductor device physics and/or radiation effects is particularly desirable.  This position will include modeling of existing semiconductor foundry processes and participation in process tailoring as well as imposing of design rules. This position also requires interest in modeling and designing a wide variety of multi-physics devices, including electro-optics, RF, and MEMS devices.   Physics effects of interest may include electronic or mechanical device performance influenced by radiation, heating, strain, and novel materials. 


    All of the above will be accomplished across multiple R&D teams, internal and external foundry partners, and with state of the art modeling tools.  The ideal candidate has strong writing skills and can participate in the writing of technical proposals and reports. 



    The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Physics, Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.


    Skills and/or experience should include some or all of the following areas:

    -Modeling tools: TCAD, SPICE, Comsol Multiphysics

    -Transistor and Integrated circuit level process design and test

    -Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a R&D team

    -Microelectronics reliability

    -Strong oral and written communication skills



    PhD in Physics, Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.


    Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
