The Information & Cognition Division is seeking a Group Leader for the Cloud Analytics & Architectures (CA) Group. The CA Group works on exciting, diverse, cutting-edge projects, such as self-driving cars and drones of all types, medical and health projects such as advanced medical imaging, fielded systems for battlefield situational awareness, and large scale machine learning systems. We develop solutions that cover a broad range of technical areas, ranging from interfacing with embedded firmware and performing data processing, up through internet facing user experiences, leveraging cloud-based resources, and compute clusters, for customers that range from commercial to government. The CA group works to stay on the leading edge of operational machine intelligence, large scale data analytics, and commercial and government cloud solutions in order to quickly bring the most impactful solutions to our users.
The Group Leader position is a multifaceted role, in which the candidate will be responsible for growing, managing, and developing the team, shaping and enabling development and deployment of novel technology offerings, and ensuring that the team is successfully executing on the wide range of projects being worked. Group Leaders are also expected to perform as an individual contributor or leader on project teams. The Group Leader will be expected to manage, grow, and maintain a talented staff of engineers, building a strategic mix of skillsets and disciplines. The Group Leader will also be responsible for promoting the culture of innovation within the group, growing the culture of collaboration outside of the group, nurturing new ideas, and supporting engineers in proposal writing and other business development activities. The ideal candidate is a proven leader, an assertive self-starter, engaging colleagues and building ideas in a team-centered environment.
