This entry-level position serves as an integral member of the Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement & Property (CSPP) department.  CSPP strives to provide both its internal and external customers with solution-oriented leadership and guidance and is focused on achieving the strategic objectives of the organization while balancing risk and regulatory compliance.  The ideal candidate has an interest in contributing to the success of the entire CSPP department in a fast-paced multifaceted environment. 


Responsibilities will include supporting CSPP personnel in interfacing internal and external customers and assisting with daily Property and Procurement functions as directed. Applicant should have excellent problem-solving and communication skills and an interest in learning about business process enhancement, analysis, and reporting.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and analyze property records for compliance and status reporting.
  • Assist both the Property and Procurement teams with internal and external audit preparation and related task execution as required.
  • Assist with legacy property closeout activities, to include but not limited to, communication with the program offices, complete final inventories, property collection and disposition documentation preparation.
  • Prepare and analyze property reports and other departmental reports as needed.
  • Assist with the physical inventory as needed.
  • Provide property counsel and advice to program staff and engineers as required.
  • Interact with other Draper functional areas (e.g., Legal, Accounting, Contracts, Subcontracts, Receiving, etc.), when necessary.
  • Responsible for the timely dissemination of pertinent information to interested and cognizant Draper personnel.
  • Support the Property team in the planning and implementation of property goals and objectives.
  • Execute p-card related purchase.
  • Enter and track the approvals for purchasing requisitions.
  • Support Government audits as necessary.



  • Bachelor’s degree with 0 - 2 years of progressive property experience required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Direct experience with control and accountability of government property.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as it pertains to Government Property.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, principles of financial tracking, scheduling and other program management tools including an advanced skill level in Excel (including proficiency with pivot tables and v-lookup functions).
  • Working knowledge of PCARSS is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Able to handle multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other management tools including an advanced skill level in Excel (including proficiency with pivot tables and v-lookup functions).
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain a government clearance.

Physical Requirements:


  • Able to move about freely in a laboratory setting and elsewhere to use inventory scan equipment to take inventory.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
