This individual will be working at the Navy Guidance Test Facility on the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The assignment will be in direct support of the Navy’s Trident Guidance System test program, working directly with the Site Manager.
Primary tasking will be to ensure that the Navy’s Guidance Test Building and associated facilities provide a high quality work environment for staff and are maintained at an operational readiness to support critical ongoing projects and future test capabilities. Responsibilities will include coordinating with staff supporting test operations, conduct facility inspections, issuing trouble calls and ensuring proper problem resolution, planning and execution of future projects, coordination with Naval Ordnance Test Unit facilities personnel, and proper management of facility drawings. The individual will possess effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Secondary tasking will be to organize and execute the facility Safety Program as directed by the Site Manager. The Contested Environments System Analysis group is seeking a Principal Radiation Effects Engineer to support hostile and natural space radiation analysis in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). He or she will be integrated in the MDA Interceptor Knowledge Center (KC).
The Principal Radiation Effects Engineer will serve as an interface between Draper and the MDA, and so must have significant experience managing customer interactions. Candidates are also expected to have experience with radiation environment definition, effects of radiation on electronic systems, and probability of survival analysis.
The candidate will be expected to work effectively across multiple teams including engineers from various locations and disciplines. A strong understanding of the Systems Engineering process, electrical design, and missile / interceptor analysis is required for this position.
The candidate will be embedded at the Missile Defense Agency, Huntsville, AL, and based out of Draper’s Huntsville, AL Campus.
We are seeking a talented senior engineer to join the digital design team at Draper. The successful candidate will contribute to FPGA development including architecture, design, synthesis, verification, validation, test, and support. Candidate must have experience using high level design, simulation and verification tools and be familiar with process flows supporting design and verification for digital FPGA efforts. Direct experience with embedded FPGA design is required. This is a HYBRID position, and the candidate should be willing to come onsite to the Cambridge office 2-3 days per week as needed.
The Space and Mission Critical Systems group at Draper is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to perform key systems engineering tasks, using formal development and verification processes in support of Draper’s National Security and Space (NS&S) business area. · Create and implement protocol and guidance, as well as policies and procedures for all security disciplines as they pertain to special programs. Provide oversight to ensure compliance of security requirements and to maintain compliant security posture.
· Ensure compliance with all security policies & procedures for program areas as well as the team as a whole.
· Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that assures compliance with government regulatory manuals.
· Develop and manage an active and ongoing security education and training program structured to meet the needs of briefed program personnel.
· Oversee the completion and adherence to the security self-inspection program as well as the actions to correct deficiencies and improve the overall security posture across each program area.
· Develop and implement a program to resolve reported security incidents at every level to ensure incidents are immediately reported, thoroughly investigated and properly resolved to eliminate like incidents in the future.
· Creates and maintains liaison with external and internal customers.
· Manages and plans/approves the construction and/or modification of work areas IAW the government’s physical security specifications.
· Develops, implements and maintains required security databases.
· Supports Business Development by providing security requirements and the estimation of security support for proposals.
· Participates as an active member of special security working groups in the SAP and/or SCI community, and implements “best-practice” solutions.
· Performs courier duties in the local area and in the U.S. as needed.
· Conducts administrative inquiries of security program non-compliance. Works with Security leadership to investigate, prepare, and submit written investigative reports.
· Implements a method of inspection, audit and analysis of security functions to determine performance.
· Responds to multiple tasks to identify solutions for emerging requirements, frequently with short turnaround times.
· Maintains knowledge and understanding of security community policy changes, communicate pertinent changes, and manage implementation of compliant solutions.
· Must use sound judgment and good business practices, while maintaining good working relationships with internal and external customers.
· Collaborates with IS and Industrial security staff to develop corporate-wide security education, training, and awareness and/or special briefings.
· In a supervisory capacity, supervise, lead, and manage other security professionals, to include HR-related activities such as training, performance evaluations, and serving as a hiring manager.
